Copyright Policy

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Mito Universe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how we handle copyright-related matters in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws.

1. User Content Ownership

Users retain full ownership of the content they upload to Mito Universe. By posting content, you represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to share that content on our platform.

2. License Grant

When you post content to Mito Universe, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display your content solely for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the platform. This license continues until you delete your content or account.

3. Copyright Infringement Policy

We take copyright infringement seriously and will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

4. DMCA Takedown Notices

If you believe that content on Mito Universe infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice that includes:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it on our platform
Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification that includes:

Your physical or electronic signature
Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
A statement that you consent to jurisdiction in your district and will accept service of process from the complainant

6. Fair Use

We recognize that copyright law allows for fair use of copyrighted material in certain circumstances, such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. Users should consider fair use principles when posting content that includes copyrighted material.

7. Platform Content

All content on Mito Universe, including but not limited to the site design, logos, graphics, icons, and software, is the property of MITO Films Inc or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights. We may also terminate accounts of users who are subject to multiple valid takedown notices.

9. Trademark Policy

Users may not use trademarks, service marks, or trade names in a manner that is likely to cause confusion about the owner or authorized user of such marks. Unauthorized use of trademarks may violate trademark laws and these Terms of Service.
